There are many options when it comes to hosting and designing your own website.
Squarespace and Wix offer a well rounded solution of hosting and design combined,
but if you’re after more control and ability to design your website exactly how you wish to see it,
then WordPress platform is the best choice.
As for backup solutions, you should always follow the 3-2-1 backup strategy which states that you should have 3 copies of your data (your production data and 2 backup copies) on two different media (hard drive and cloud)
with one copy off-site for disaster recovery.
