Summer Breeze...

If you haven't yet visited the Loughcrew Cairns in Oldcastle, Co. Meath, I'd highly recommend it. Loughcrew’s Ancient Passage Tombs are over 5,000 years old which makes them older than Newgrange. The Loughcrew Cairns were a burial ground and a place where people celebrated their Ancestors, Gods, and Nature. During the Spring and Autumn Equinox you could see the spectacular carved stone inside the tomb that the sun strikes twice a year.

While the walk up to it is quite steep, you get rewarded with the most breath-taking nearly 360 degree views from its highest point. Kids absolutely love exploring different parts of this place and the ancient carvings on the stones as well as chasing the grazing sheep around the area.
